Allegiant Airlines (Low-Cost Carrier)
Allegiant Airlines (Overview)
Allegiant offers an all-jet passenger service connecting America's favorite small towns and world-class destinations, having launched in 1997. Flying with Allegiant saves you money by allowing you to take advantage of lower fares and a wider selection of options.
They normally travel on days when the bulk of travelers typically fly which allows them to pass the savings on to you. You just pay for the services that you use. Because hardly everyone travels with checked bags, instead of collecting a bag fee per ticket, you only pay for the baggage you intend to bring.
Allegiant's clients are entitled to significant savings on hotel accommodations and auto rentals as part of an Airline Ticket purchase. These deals can't be found anywhere else. They aim to be the first airline that springs to mind as you're looking for a great trip at a good price.
Which airports and locations does Allegiant fly to?
Allegiant Air operates nonstop flights from rural areas to major US attractions such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Florida. Regularly, new sites are added. Several routes are only offered at specific times of the year. You can check the route map for more information.
Baggage Policy of Allegiant Airlines
Passengers are allowed to bring one personal item that is no bigger than 7 x 15 x 16 inches. Per person, up to four checked baggage with a weight limit of 40 pounds can indeed be pre-purchased. When pre-booked, the first two checked luggage are $35 ($50 if not pre-booked), and further bags are $100 each. Bags weighing more than 40 pounds are subject to a surcharge.
By federal law, dangerous materials including flammable solids or liquids, aerosols, biohazards, compressed gases, and infectious pathogens are forbidden from being taken onto aircraft in your bags or on your person. A breach can result in a five-year prison sentence, among other penalties. It's always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the limitations on what you can carry and what could place you in a dangerous situation.
Battery-powered mobility items will be inspected and carried at no additional expense at the ticket office or gate if the cargo division is large enough and all safety conditions are met. It may be necessary to remove the battery from the passenger's wheelchair or any other device and ship it independently in some circumstances.
