Introduction to Iberia Airlines

Spain's flag carrier airline is Iberia. The airline was created in 1927 and is now based at Barajas Airport in Madrid. Iberia Airlines would initially exclusively fly within Spain's borders. After WW II, though, it began to fly to more distant countries such as Latin America and the United Kingdom.

Iberia Group airlines now fly to 39 countries around the world, totalling 109 destinations on practically every continent!

Travel classes

Iberia Airlines offers five different travel classes to its clients: Business Plus, Business Class, Business Club, Premium Economy, and Economy. Creative warmth is combined with a serene ambience onboard Iberia's aircrafts. Onboard, you will be greeted by well-dressed airline staff who will serve you with a warm grin. The beautiful cabin layouts, nice seats with enough legroom, plus reclines make journeys more enjoyable. Beverages are provided at regular intervals.

Baggage policy

If you're flying in economy, you'll be able to bring a cabin bag plus a personal item with you on the flight. The cabin bag can be 56 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm, and distinctive goods like a briefcase or purse can't be bigger than 40 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm. Your cabin bag can't be more than 10 kilogrammes in weight. Alternatively, you may be required to pay an additional cost.

Iberia Airlines sometimes keep your carry-on bags in the hold when the trip is exceptionally busy. You will not, however, be charged an additional price. But, once you've landed, you'll have to wait a while for your luggage to be returned. As a result, when you're in a rush, ensure you're one of the first on board.

Passengers will be able to take some excess weight in business class, with a limitation of 14 kg for the carry-on luggage. In business class, a checked luggage is also included. This will cost an additional price based on the flight. The combined height, breadth, and length of any checked luggage should not surpass 158 cm, with a weight limit of 23 kg. Customers can pay an additional cost of up to 32 kg if their luggage weighs over 23 kg. Luggage weighing more than this amount is not permitted.

Is food served on Iberia Airlines flights included?

All flights over four and a half hours with Iberia include meals. Breakfast, lunch, plus dinner are all provided completely for free. If you want to order a special dinner, you must do so at least 24 hours ahead of time. Passengers with food allergy can bring their own food onboard.

Cancellation policy

You can claim a bonus when your flight is cancelled. There's a good probability you won't get a refund if you have to cancel your ticket due to personal reasons. Even if you are able to make adjustments, returns, or refunds in a few cases, you will be charged a penalty cost.

If you're travelling business class, though, you can reschedule your flight for free up to 15 days before your departure date.

All in all, we feel that with Iberia Airlines, you will receive service that is commensurate with the price you have paid. Their services are comparable to airlines with equivalent price points, particularly for individuals flying with considerable luggage.
